Full conference details in English:
The ARCH-E Consortium and the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE) are pleased to announce a joint conference on Architectural Design Competitions (ADCs).
The conference will explore how ADCs drive quality and innovation, promote high-quality Baukultur, and deliver the most economically advantageous architectural projects.
Bringing together a wide range of stakeholders, the event will convene architects, ADC experts, public authorities and representatives of the construction sector. Participants will discuss strategies to expand the use of ADCs across Europe, improve regulatory frameworks, support architects’ participation in cross-border competitions, and assist public authorities and private developers in procuring high-quality architectural projects.
The programme will feature a keynote address by Adam Caruso, panel discussions with European practitioners and policymakers, as well as workshops and presentations on key topics in the field. Sessions will address the impact of ADCs on economic potential and transparency in procurement processes, the mitigation of market barriers for SMEs, and reflections on how ADCs can foster innovation and high-quality Baukultur in a post-fossil era. The detailed conference programme will be shared shortly.
The conference will take place the day before the General Assembly of the Architects’ Council of Europe, scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026. We kindly invite you to reserve these dates and look forward to your participation.
